Jam Over; An Update & Trailer Emerges


It's been a week since the VimJam submissions and the votes are in! While the game could've done better, I am grateful I finally had the opportunity to make a spooky game. Unfortunately, I pushed all the way until the end, and it resulted in me pushing a build that had a major bug which affected most users. On top of that I didn't have a web-build, which hurt the amount of folks that checked out the game.

Now that voting has ended, I can finally make an update! Starting today there is now a web build with a couple of tweaks to the game. 

  • web build should run well and won't have resolution issues
  • typo fixes
  • monster spawn balancing
  • monster stun effects

Additionally I went ahead and made a trailer and I'm super happy with how it came out!

I believe this web build is way closer to my vision, and while it's bittersweet that the jam is over and I couldn't get my changes out to the major audience, I am massively proud of what I created in such a short amount of time, and am glad I was able to create what I sought out to make. This may be a game I end up bringing into 2025 with more updates, more content, and more scares!
